Purpose
This website is designed to enlighten the public on the presence of Circle K international, not only the world but at Shortwood Teachers' College. Included in this website is all the things that our club have been involved with over the years.
Circle K International is for college and university students who
are responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to community service worldwide. This organization holds the promise of today's students becoming tomorrow's leader. It exists to meet the personal needs of the individual collegian through the qualities of leadership, the rewards of service, and the unique spirt of friendsship. Leardership, service and fellowship; the embodiment of the three tenets of CKI are necessary to shape the future, realized in the colleges and universities of today.

Vision
The vision of the CKI is dedicated to helping individual collegians achieve the realization of mankind’s potential through the qualities of leadership, the rewards of service and the unique spirit of friendship. CKI members are the embodiment of those qualities necessary to shape the future, realized in today’s colleges and universities. As members of CKI, we strive to lead integrity and excellence throughout our everyday lives. Thus, we commit ourselves to the CKI Code of ethics to help improve our world each day.

Circle K International (CKI) is the largest collegiate community service, leadership development and friendship organization in the world. With more than 12,000 members in 17 nations, CKI is making a positive impact on the world every day. Adhering to the service initiative, "Focusing on the future: Children", CKI plans projects to assist in the development of our world's young children.
Circle K clubs are organized and sponsored by a Kiwanis club on a college or university campus. CKI is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings and determines its own service activities.This organization feeds off of its motto which says "Live to serve, loove to serve.
CKI blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other college students around the world, even in Jamaica. Circle K International is divided into many districts.
The circle k clubs within the Caribbean form the "Caribbean District" that is divided into three divisions:
Paradise Division which includes clubs such as Shortwood Teachers' College, The University of Aruba, Antigua State College, Barbados Community College, The University of the West Indies (Cave Hill)The UniThe University of the West Indies (Mona) , The University of Technology (Papine Campus), The Vocational Training and Development Institute, Portmore Community College and GC Foster College.
Crystal Division which includes clubs such as The Excelsior Community College, St. Joseph's Teachers' College, Caribbean Maritime Institute, Edna Manley College, The University College of the Caribbean, The International University of the Caribbean, The Mico University College, Bahamas Community College and B & B University.
Sunshine Division which include clubs such as The Montego Bay Community College, Church Teacher's College, Moneague College, The University of the West Indies (Western Jamaica Campus) and Sam Sharpe Teachers' College, The University of Technology (Western Campus) and The International University of the Caribbean (Sir. Howard Cooke Campus).
